Reflection is something that, as a teacher, I am required to do often in order to succeed. I reflect after each class, five times a day, to think about where I went and where to go tomorrow. I reflect at the end of the week to determine what should be in store for next week. I reflect at the end of the year to see what went well and what needs to change. I think that if there is a teacher who does NOT reflect, he or she could not possibly be a good teacher. So, I decided to reflect on my digital awareness and abilities. I found that I wasn’t as far as I thought I was, and I didn’t discover this until I was halfway through my reflection! I learned a new digital tool while reflecting, and I created the reflection in a PowToon. It was really cool, but I noticed that I felt intimidated and nervous about learning a new digital tool. I have come very far, but I still have a VERY long way to go. I do believe learning is eternal, and I am enjoying my ride on this digital journey.
